Strategy: Increasing Undergraduate Commitment
One of the key elements of Theta
Xi's Strategic Plan is improving the commitment of undergraduate members,
helping to make the Theta Xi experience interesting and involving for all of
the undergraduate years.. The vision and goals for this part of the Strategic
Plan are:
Vision
Theta Xi Fraternity builds an
enduring commitment among its Brothers by providing a variety of worthwhile
experiences and developmental opportunities, and creating a positive, engaging
environment. Undergraduate members and their Chapters embrace and fulfill the
scholastic, financial, social, and leadership responsibilities of Brotherhood.
Two-Year Goals
- At least 98% of the Chapters active on August 4, 2001 are still active Chapters.
- 67% of Chapters are meeting their financial and reporting obligations to
the Fraternity.
- At least 67% of Chapters develop written chapter budgets and review their
budget with their Advisor and Alumni Association (or local Club), or Regional
Director if an Association does not exist, and at least 50% of undergraduate
Chapters have established reserve funds of at least 5% of annual operating
expenses.
- 67% of Chapters have programs to evaluate and recognize member commitment,
and less than 33% of the Chapter’s membership is considered “dead
weight” by their Chapters.
Ten-Year Goals
- At least 90% of the Chapters active on August 4, 2001 are still active Chapters.
- 90% of Chapters are meeting their financial and reporting obligations to
the Fraternity.
- At least 95% of Chapters develop written chapter budgets and review their
budget with their Advisor and Alumni Association (or local Club), or Regional
Director if an Association does not exist, and at least 95% of undergraduate
Chapters have established reserve funds of at least 25% of annual operating
expenses.
- 90% of Chapters have programs to evaluate and recognize member commitment,
and less than 10% of the Chapter’s membership is considered “dead
weight” by their Chapters.
