Accreditation and Award Recognition

The Accreditation Section of the Annual Report to the Fraternity will be reviewed by the Accreditation Committee to determine if the chapter has fulfilled the expectations in each area of the Standards of Operations.  Accreditation comes from meeting or exceeding at least six (6) of the nine (9) standards.

In addition, the chapter may elect to submit the Awards Submission section of the report to be considered for national honors for chapters that meet or exceed more than six (6) standards and submit a complete report.   (All True Men Chapters are required to submit the Awards Section.)  Levels of recognition include:

Memorial Trophy Chapter Recognition is awarded to the top 5% of all chapters

Benchmark Chapter Recognition is awarded to the top 6-20% of all chapters

Those chapters meeting six (6) or more standards areas will be accredited for one year and will receive a framed accreditation certificate.  In addition, they will be featured in The UNICORN, on the Fraternity’s Web site and a letter confirming their accreditation that will be sent to local campus administrators.

In addition, chapters may be recognized for outstanding achievement in one or more of the nine Standards of Operations based upon completion of the Awards Submission section of the Annual Report to the Fraternity submission. Further, awards for most outstanding region, outstanding achievement in the areas of recruitment, scholarship, service and communications and other recognitions will be presented based on information collected from all sources.

NOTE:  Any chapter failing to meet the submission deadline will not be eligible for award consideration.
